ITS OVER!

Tis the end of semester and new communication and technology, is completely finished. Nothing else but this final blog entry. We had good times. Great times even. Oh how newcommtech shall be missed.

But in summary of wether i liked the course or not;

T’was a very interesting course indeed. I liked the fact that the second half of all lectures involved movies. Wether they were good movies or not. It was entertaining. I will say, i skipped a few lectures purely because my body wanted more sleep than newcommtech did. But nonetheless, i made it to a few, i got the gist of it all. The tutorials seemed very breezey. Which was a good thing. An ongoing blog was a good idea, though most just waited until the last week and crammed it all in there. So yeah i dont think many people maintained their blogs very well. though thats me assuming.

I don’t think i should go into any more details of new communication technology, for i might cry.

wow micrososft excel.

With such set instructions, the task was easy. I remember dealing with micorosoft excel back in the day of grade 10, and i could never ever ever ever ever handle those ifstatements. Especially the really really long ones. they just pissed me off.

So i completed the task. got it all right. very easy stuff. not much else to say.

once again, i dont think this program would be beneficial to me.

but it would even moreso be an asset to a working team of any type of job. Practically every business would find microsoft excel and it’s capabilities a way of making things simpler.

I dislike WoW.

Purely because everyone plays it, everyone as a generelisation, but truly everyone. ALL OF YOU. and it’s depriving you of a life. a social life. a funtastic life. a sexual life. your sexual life is gone becaue of WoW i bet it. i GUARANTEE IT.

Microsoft Word!:!?

Well i figured it would be easy. And it wasnt too incredibly difficult. But considering i did extension computers back in the days of grade 10, then BCT in 11 and 12, i felt i had an upperhand on everbody else.

but not really. it got confusing towards the end of the task, but i got through it. someones phone just rang to the left of me. but ill ignore that.

im that annoying kid thats sniffing all the time, because i have a cold right now. but anyway,.

I believe it would be helpful to people in a business or workplace, to me however i dont think so. It’s not going to be of use to me in the future, yet its good to know.

Week 9:!

So nothings on this week. research for acad essay. that i’ve already finished.

so here’s a blog about absolutely nothing that’s really a waste of time when i should be writing my next blog.

i learnt to touch type in grade 8.

and i was pretty good at it. although ive seen better. i still feel confident in my touchtyping skills. People often asked me to type up their assignments as i was alot faster than themselves and they needed it within half an hour. So i did. and got paid for it. what a job. it was funfunfunfunfun.

but NOW I WORK AT THE BULLETIN OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

doing manual labour.

3D Chatrooms.

What is it with these 3D chatrooms?

I’ve never even heard of them before. ’tis all new to me.
So I went to activeworlds, which seemed fairly confusing at first. But then i gots tha hang of it.

Now, to answer the question.What is different about the kinds of socialising that happens in these spaces? Does the 3D aspect make much difference?

Considering i am a frequent msn user, my opinion my be biased. But since I was introduced to msn in the days of grade 8, 2002, when little jordan was only 12, EVER since that day any other form of communication via internet has been disregarded. I wouldn’t even give them a chance. My sister used that yahoomessenger thing, i hated her for that. So i worked long and hard for 2 years converting her to msn, finally she caved in.

But anyway thats just me.

The 3D aspect to this activeworlds can add a little fun to the experience, or perhaps it’s meant to be more personal through waht appears to be some sort of game. But if it’s personal you want, buy a webcam. That is about as personal as it gets, talking over msn whilst webcamming it up with an old friend, or relative, or german lover. whatever.

I would not suggest to use these 3D environment thingos. but thats coming from me, like i said, a biased opinion. do wahtever you want. you little money grips.

WOWZER

wow a break. a week for a break. no real task. besides a summary of the guest lecturer. well from what i remember, he was a very funny fellow. and im afraid i was sidetracked by all the humour i probably failed to learn everything or anything at all.

but no it was very interesting. brought a new aspect to conveying information over the internet. and all that. and he mentioned some thing. i was going to download when i got home… but i forgot the name of it.

oh and myspace was mentioned. everyones favourite form of representing themselves. who cares about social events, when you can just myspace it. personally myspace is my god. but not really that woudl suck. but i do use it. probs a bit too frequently. its not my homepage or anything, but i visit it more often than my homepage if it is possible.

anyway. thats about all.

im off to eat or do something more…. better with my time.

Okay so this week i’m meant to be posting more pictures. but im not. clearly because last week took alot of effort out of me with all those picturepostages and i just dont have it in me to open that daunting program called photoshop yet again, for several reasons. One being it lags my computer so incredibly badly you would not understand. Another being because i suck at this program and all the editing i did last week would just be repeated, for i have no desire to expirement or dabble with this program anymore than i have to.

ANOTHER BEIN…. no i dont have anymore. So i just thought i’d post this blog letting you know that there wont be pictures, because a blog with reason, as opposed to no blog and no pictures whatsoever, is alot better.  In my opinion i did the right thing, made the right choice, and those of you against me should be ashamed of yourselves.

Don’t hate on me because i despise photoshop. ‘Tis not my fault.

What’s This?

Well looking at my page now it seems the blogentries are a bit disjointed, but keep up with me. It’s all there, just in an out of order fashion. It’s a statement i tell you, I am making a statement about the routine and typical set pathways of life and how you should bend the boundaries on occasion, do what you please, not what you must. All of you should take this into account, from reading my amazing blog entries.

And now for the purpose of this weeks blog. Photoshop.

I’ve never been too good with this program and i remember it being the cause for my dropping photography in high school. Because technology had overrun the world of photography and it was all about editing, rather than photographing.. when all i wanted was to take a picture. damn you technology. but i guess i can’t avoid photoshop so i’ll do the task at hand.

 Okay paragraph about this. This picture was taken a while back, not with my camera so i can’t specify a model. But it signifies friends purely because all the people in the picture are friends? sure that’ll do. We all have an odd neon glow, implying we’re fake? who knows. whatever. you may notice i am on the far left in that picture.

What’s next. high-tech. okay.

 This is high-tech. just because it is. look at it? can you not see all the high-techiness. i took it with a kodak something or other camera. very shite camera. but it got the job done. and look at it now, zomg how many jordan’s are there in there? that is my amazing photography and you can compliment it if you please, because i know you feel like it.

this here is university life. im not sure the model camera. but i am sure how i can explain this to you. for this photo was taken after a long night of assignmenting and coffeetrips, at approximately 4:30 in the morning it was time for a break. thus a robinamaccas trip. my incredibly tired state of mind probably affected the quality of work i was attempting to do, but the point is. that is the unilife. lastnight assignments followed up by a earlymorning cellarbration breakfast at maccas. tis the life of jordan. oh how you wish you were me.

 oh look at this. this totally unconventional piece of trash. i tell you tahts not what i really look like. believe me for i swear its true. though that guy next to me, that be his natural smile. honestly. this was that kodak camera again. because its an old photo. from the robinakids formal actually.

 Well i dont like summer. so i grabbed this picture and edited it. because i didn’[t feel like going out especially to take a picture for a summer theme. so this is it. the good times roll, the people have fun, head down the beach, chill, chillax, chillbang, whatever. but i hate sand thus i hate the beach thus i hate summer and it’s entire culture. the sun is the enemy. well for me it is, becaus i’m incredibly pale and will burn if emitted to 5 minutes of direct rays.

Hello world… this is me…

So yeah.

This is my first blog of my first tutorial for the course New Communication Technology. As you know it is part of the assessment to post a new blog each week particularly about what I am learning from this course and often to stray off and delve into whats going on inside my head. Considering this is my first tutorial as i previously said, I don’t believe there is anything for me to talk about, especially since I missed the first lecture due to my alarm not waking me up after a long night of what doesn’t need to be mentioned. That is basically the purpose of this blog and the blogs to come, summarised up into a neat little package.

Hope this wasn’t a “useless blog” and I didn’t bore you as i stated the obvious and discussed nothing.

Maybe next week It’ll be interesting, who knows. You’ll just have to keep up to date with my blog and find out!
